Bend-Angle Vision for Press Brakes

STATUS: ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT

Vision-based bend angle measurement using Meta's Segment Anything Model. Real-time edge detection, geometric angle calculation, failsafe logic for asymmetric detections. Runs on embedded edge hardware at the machine.

Material Springback Compensation

STATUS: RESEARCH

Predictive overbend calculation from material properties, thickness, and bend radius. K-factor modeling with historical learning from real parts.

3

Distributed Inference Infrastructure

STATUS: PRODUCTION

Private multi-node compute mesh running frontier and local language models. Retrieval systems, tool execution, and machine-vision workloads on owned hardware.

2.0 Field Experience

DisciplineDetail
Machine ToolsPress brakes, CNC lathes, machining centers, boring mills, plate rollers, shears, cut-to-length lines, ironworkers, beam machines, tube processing. Fitter / retrofit / millwright.
ControlsFanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain, Allen-Bradley. Legacy relay logic through modern CNC and PLC architectures. Electrical design & troubleshooting.
Service LeadershipDistrict service management for a North American machine builder: assembly, relocation, repair, and operator training as the primary customer-facing engineer.

3.0 Shop Equipment

A private compute fleet: dual-GPU workstation (48GB VRAM), 128GB unified-memory Grace Blackwell node, embedded edge vision (67 TOPS), and battery-powered field hardware. Owned, built, and maintained in-house.
